I oppose a Wainscott landing for the SFWF. This site defies common sense and practices of the developers, who typically land cables in industrial areas or public parks. The developers created a false choice with their initial routes, which independent engineers uncovered.
A Wainscott route fails to represent the ‘minimum adverse environmental impact’ as required by law. Alternatives are shorter, have less residential impact, offer better means of meeting future energy needs and are safer to build. We trust the Commission will reject SFWF’s invasive proposal and support a more fitting route.
